FAQ

1. What do you do?
I create brands for businesses: logos - a graphical representation that identifies the business - and visual identities - the colors, the graphics, the typography that go with the logo.
The objective of a job like this is to differentiate and give personality to your business. A good brand can mean a strategic advantage over your competitors. A brand that attracts and connects better with the public can mean a bigger market share. In times of crisis, a good brand can empower your company to get through the turbulent times.

2. How much does a brand identity project cost?
Before stipulating the cost of the project, I need to listen to you and after this process, I can develop a tailored and realistic price proposal based on your needs.
When we do this, we can align and manage as per expectations, ensuring at least a good relationship and a fluid project throughout the process.
Understand, a brand project is not just about creating a design, but about understanding your brand's proposal and value and helping your business to grow and develop.

3. How long does a project take?
The process of a branding project that starts with the briefing collection and ends with the brand presentation and creative process takes between 20 and 25 working days. After the approval of the brand, it takes another 5 to 10 business days to deliver all the material. But these deadlines are the average, the total project deadline depends on the customer's availability, the speed of their feedbacks and the contracted scope.

4. Do all your projects use grids?
Actually not necessarily, I explain. Many projects don't need a grid itself, but I usually develop the structure, which can be through guidelines, or just by proportional relationships between layout elements. So it can and it can't. In the end, it depends, because in the end it's just a resource to be used :)

5. How many branding options will I receive?
You will receive a project containing the entire process, research and argumentation for understanding and potential of the brand, so you will not receive just one brand design - nor several different options to choose from.

6. How will the project be presented?
The project is presented in a PDF file, usually organized as follows:
• Main guidelines and challenges;
• Justifications / Argumentation;
• Brand building;
• Brand versions (horizontal, vertical, B&W, monochrome, negative background, etc.);
• Institutional cores (CMYK, RGB, PANTONE);
• Support graphic element;
• Institutional typography;
• Examples of brand applications in different materials.

7. Do you use a Mac or an Apple product?
I used to be passionate about iMac, but for now I think a PC with a good configuration leaves nothing to be desired in performance. Maybe one day I will go to Apple products.

8. Do you register the developed project?
So, registering a developed brand is a necessity, it is to protect your company's identity from people and companies in bad faith, from competitors who want to use an idea and from new companies that you may have and use, sometimes without knowledge of the existence of the your company, even the idea.
But answering the question - No, I do not register the developed brand project, for a simple reason - the brand needs to be registered in the name of the individual who owns the company at INPI, therefore, the request must come directly from the company owner ( legal entity or individual). Registration is valid only in Brazil and has a duration of 10 years from the registration data, being renewable for more periods of 10 years, with costs to renew.
If you want to register your trademark, I indicate below some legal offices specialized in this process with the INPI.
But what I do? I register the trademark's copyright with Avctoris, so as a designer I can guarantee a broad level of protection for your project automatically valid in the 164 member countries of the BERNA CONVENTION, which internationally regulates Copyright.

09. Can you start my project today?
I dedicate myself to a few projects at the same time. This means that, in order not to let any client down, I work with a schedule based on projects that are already in progress. Therefore, it is unlikely that we will start the project on the day of application.
In addition, before starting the project, we went through the following steps:
• Full understanding of the project and customer expectations
• Submission and approval of proposal
• First payment

10. What will I receive at the end of the project?
Brand: Final files of requested versions in AI, PDF, EPS, PNG and JPG – or as requested by the customer.
Items requested beyond the brand: all requested materials will be prepared for production as needed for each item.

11. Will the colors I see on the monitor be the same as what I will see on my printout?
Each monitor has a specific calibration. You can see stronger and more vibrant colors. For this reason, we develop all projects based on world chromatic standards, the Pantone Scale, the Europa Scale, also known as CMKY, RGB Scale and Hexacrodecimal Scale which is for the internet, where we pass on the color codes of your identity palette so that you can use in your materials.
